Welcome! Glad you made it, and I hope the show this past weekend was as fantastic four you as it was from behind the table! Expect photos of commissions, maybe some shots of cosplayers, and a few more pics inspire by the show & some of the amazing people I met there.
I'm still taking commissions at the moment (although the delivery will have to be 2 weeks or so out at this point, sorry). I can be reached at daelan@rogers.com.

Getting Ready for Ottawa Comiccon 2018
Have a bunch of new work done just in time for Ottawa Comiccon 2018. Stay tuned, will be adding about 20 drawings to the Portraits gallery very soon!
Ottawa ComicCon 2015
OCC 2015 starts Friday May 8th at the EY Center in Ottawa, Ontario, and I am there! You can find me at Booth 2015! Easy enough to remember, right? It's a corner booth in the Exhibitors' Area this time by the Photo Ops area (not buried back in Artists' Alley). Look for the awesome woodwork of my good friends at Elkasha Arts, and we're right there beside them.
Prints & Postcards are available, and YES, I will be taking commissions! Get yours in quick, because I get booked up fast (apparently y'all dig my stuff... a fact which is humbling, greatly appreciated, and pretty demanding of the limited Con time)!
If you miss your chance for commi
Quick Update!
Hey gang,
Just added a few pics from my 2014 work... Some prints, some commissions, but hardly an exhaustive collection.
I'm gearing up for Ottawa Pop Expo is this weekend! More art to come, and I WILL be accepting commissions both at the show and after. I do illustrations of all kinds: comic characters, original creations (ie. your personal characters from Dragon Age, D&D, Shadowrun, you name it!), portraits, cartoons, & anything else you can come up with!
I can be reached at jmerkhart@gmail.com.

And while making art falls somewhere in BOTH those categories for me, posting it online takes time & a technical know-how that slows the process down. And up 'til now I admit it has felt largely unnecessary.
I have a day job. It pays my bills. I draw when I can, when I want, and 90% of that art stays buried, unfinished, in sketch-books or notebooks which only my wife ever sees.
And I (clearly) don't update the journals, the Facebook, the tweets very often. But I'm thinking I want mo
